COLLEGE FOOTBALL: ELMIRA GRAD WILLIAMS HAS 3.5 SACK GAME, SITS AMONG NATIONAL LEADERS IN SACKS (2025-09-22)

Elmira graduate Amir Williams is among the national leaders in sacks for the Erie Community College football team.

Williams was named the school’s athlete of thew eek for the week of Sept. 8-14 after a huge game with 3.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for a loss, along with five tackles, against Buffalo State. Erie won the game 36-7.

That game put Williams at 4.5 sacks this year, tied for second nationally in NJCAA Division III.

Williams had another tackle for a loss and two tackles on Monday against Brockport JV.

In four games Williams had 4.5 sacks, 6.5 tackles for a loss and 10 tackles.
