Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Corning Hawks girls’ tennis team beat Elmira 7-0 on Monday to move to 4-3 on the season.
Kassidy McNeill won at first singles 6-1, 6-1 over Millie Kierst and at second singles Lydia Chung won 6-1, 6-2 over Marley Devlin.
Evelyn Sunshine won 6-0, 6-1 over Amelia Allen at third singles and Rebecca Spike won 6-1, 6-1 over Hannah Reynolds at fourth singles.
In first doubles Jaedyn Vernacotola and Michelle Cummings won 6-0, 6-2 over Daryna Zhydovlenko and Justice Gavazzi.
In second doubles Kate Scanlon and Loretta Getola won 6-3, 6-4 over Jayden Mann and Kariss Lynch.
In third doubles Tess Barber and Lila Caprarella won 6-1, 6-1 over Olivia Andrews and Evaya Gardner.
Corning hosts Ithaca on Friday.
