H.S. CROSS COUNTRY: CORNING TAKES 3RD AT PRE-STATE INVITE (2025-09-13)

QUEENSBURY — The Corning boys cross country team took third at the pre-states Invitational.

Corning had a score of 161, and Ward Melville won at 79, followed by Saratoga Springs at 106. Corning was in the Division 3 race.

Bryce Hammond finished 10th in 15:53.10 and Nicholas Ferratella was 14th in 16:08.80.

Sebastian Boutwell was 23rd in 16:19.70 and Christopher Lawson was 54th in 16:58.90.

Ashtyn Stark was 68th in 17:09.90 and Samuel Kirk was 80th in 17:25.30 with Connor Harrington 130th in 18:18.10.

The girls were 14th in Division 3.

Olivia Martinec finished 38th in 19:51.20. Abigail Wagner was 55th in 20:25.10.

Kateland Dininny was 68th in 20:51 and Lillian Deuerlein was 124th in 22:40.60. Liesel Despain was 133rd in 23:20.40.

Alisyn Conway was 151st in 24:25.40.

In the JV A race the Hawks took second at 77 with Bethlehem Central winning at 33.

Graham Wightman was fourth at 18:08.30 with Andrew Miller sixth at 18:14.40 followed by Elijah Sonner at 18:17.80.

Coleten Ketchm was 29th in 19:14 and Thomas VanSlyke was 33rd in 19:22.20.

In the girls A JV race Corning was eighth at 221.

Madie Sweet was 28th at 23:34.90 and Emma Pleegor was 46th at 24:45. Macailyn York was 52nd at 24:55.20.

Bella Beres was 57th at 25:03.90 and Uma Parma Free Thutaram was 79th in 25:53.60.
