Southern Tier Sports ReportWAVERLY — The Elmira Express girls’ tennis team picked up a 7-0 win over Waverly on Monday afternoon.
It was the first ever match for Waverly in girls’ tennis.
At first singles Elmira’s Millie Kierst won 6-2, 6-0 over Ava Witman and at second singles Marley Devlin won 6-0, 6-2 over Sophie Nierstedt.
In third singles Mary Collins won 6-2, 6-1 over Sofia Storelli.
In first doubles Elmira’s Hannah Reynolds and Daryna Zhydovienko won for Elmira 6-1, 6-2 over Kearstin Stout and Aubrey Everson.
