Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA — The Elmira Express girls’ soccer team was edged by Union-Endicott on Saturday afternoon, 2-1.
Eighth-grader Madison Doran scored for Elmira in the game, while Victoria Elliott and Nolan Burke had the U-E goals.
“We took the lead after ten minutes, they tied it up 10 minutes later by Burke, and then both teams battled until Elliott scored with seven minutes to go.
“Team played hard, good battle, we will get back at it Monday and be ready for the week ahead.”
