Southern Tier Sports ReportBALDWINSVILLE — The Big Flats Majors Little League all-stars forced a winner-take-all championship game at sectionals with a 6-4 win over Union-Endicott.
Big Flats came back through the consolation bracket and beat unbeaten U-E. With the win the two teams will square off again on Wednesday night with the winner claiming sectionals.
Big Flats scored three in the third and runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth to get the win.
U-E got three in the bottom of the fourth to get within 4-3, but Big Flats then scored the next two runs to lead 6-3, before U-E scored in the bottom of the sixth.
Maddox Monks went five innings, striking out seven and Nolan Ruhmel struck out one in an inning of relief.
Ricky Graham, Trevor Bonham, Ryan Kozemko, Gabe Charlanow, Parker Mosher and Monks each had hits in the game.
