SECTION 4 SOFTBALL: TWO AREA TEAMS EARN TOP SEED AS SECTIONALS GET UNDERWAY (2025-05-21)

It’s time for the postseason as the sectional softball brackets are out and two area teams are top seeds.

Corning is the top seed in AAA. They take on No. 2 Elmira at 4 p.m. on May 31 at Greenlight Grand Slam park.

Horseheads is the top seed in AA. They take on No. 2 Vestal at 4 p.m. on May 31 at Greenlight Grand Slam Park.

The Edison softball team is the third seed in Class B. They host Windsor at 4:30 p.m. on May 27. The winner takes on the winner of No. 2 Watkins Glen/O-M and the winner of the Lansing/Sidney game at 4:30 p.m. on May 29.

The Notre Dame softball team is the sixth seed in Class C. They host No. 11 Southern Cayuga at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The winner takes on the winner of No. 3 Tioga and No. 14 Marathon at the higher seed at 4:30 p.m. on May 27.
