STAC GIRLS' GOLF: ABEL DOMINATES AS CORNING WINS TEAM TITLE AT STAC END OF SEASON TOURNEY (2025-05-16)

APALACHIN — Corning won the team title and Delaney Abel was the individual winner at the first STAC end of season tournament for girls’ golf.

“Great first event,” Corning coach Chris Clark said. “Hopefully we can continue to grow STAC teams that are involved on the girls side. But, today was a great first step in that direction. Looking forward to growing this event in the upcoming years.”

Corning won the team title at 399, followed by Waverly at 414.

Abel won the title with a one-under-par 71. She won by eight strokes over Allison Yoon of Vestal. They were the only two golfers under 90 on the day as both shot in the 70’s.

Mady Weigand of Horseheads was third at 92 followed by Corning’s Amanda Hall at 96 and Tess Barber of Corning was eighth at 111 followed by Ellie Padgett of Horseheads at 132.

Zoe Martin of Corning was 12th at 121.

Kamryn Fusare of Corning was 14th at 122 followed by Mary Collins of Elmira at 131. Caroline Welch of Corning was next at 139 followed by Elmira’s Hannah Reynolds at 147. Jayden Mann was two spots back from Reynolds at 136.
