
ELMIRA — The Horseheads boys’ lacrosse team picked up a 12-6 road win at Elmira on Tuesday night.
It was a 3-2 game after one quarter and 4-3 Horseheads at the half. The Blue Raiders outscored the Express 4-0 in the third quarters.
“Hats off to Elmira,” Horseheads coach Jason Neubauer said. “They had a great game plan. I was proud of our kids for continuing to battle and work through some struggles so we could respond in the second half.”
Braden Woodworth had a huge day with eight assists in the win. Brogan Sullivan had three goals and two assists and Griffin Stevens had four goals.
Adam Nielsen finished with two goals for the Blue Raiders and Owen Johanson, Seamus Lynch and Keenan McCarthy all had goals.
Luke L’Amoreaux had seven saves in goal for Horseheads.
Landon Cook had three goals for Elmira and Ryan Ferraro had two goals, while Avery Traugott-Knoll had a goal.
Liam Ogden had five saves for the Express.
Horseheads hosts Binghamton for senior night at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
