HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: ELMIRA GOES 1-1 ON THE DAY AT MARY TESTA TOURNEY (2025-04-26)

WAVERLY — The Elmira softball team went 1-1 on the day at the Mary Testa Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament.

The Express beat Waverly 17-2 and fell to Pittsford 6-1.

Ryleigh Ogden had three hits, with two doubles, an RBI and four runs scored and Madelyn Cavalier and Madison Smith each had two hits in the game. Cavalier had three RBI and two runs scored and Smith scored two runs and had an RBI.

Addisyn Chorney and Devlin each had doubles in the game. Devlin had three RBI and a run scored and Chorney had an RBI and a run scored.

Ava Sherman had a double, an RBI and three runs scored.

Addison Taft and Annabelle Decker had hits and an RBI and Cate Lambert had a hit, an RBI and a run scored. Aleida Agosto had a hit in the game.

Juliana Wilbur scored a run

Marley Devlin struck out six on the mound against Waverly.

Against Pittsford the Express fell behind 5-0 after one inning and weren’t able to recover.

Sherman had two hits against Pittsford and Taft had a double and scored the Express run.

Chorney, Lambert, Smith, Cavalier and Decker had hits in the game and Ava Cornacchio had an RBI.

Cornacchio worked three innings, striking out four and Devlin struck out five in four innings of two-hit ball.
