Southern Tier Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT — Horseheads graduate Ryan Scott delivered a game-winning triple in extra innings on a milestone day at Historic Bowman Field on Wednesday for Mansfield University.
In the 11th inning Scott tripled down the right field line to score Kahale Burns from first and put the Mounties ahead in the 11th inning. The hit proved to be the game winner.
Earlier in the game Scott started the scoring with an RBI single. The hit was the 100th collegiate hit for the Horseheads graduate.
Scott has hit .368 with a .463 on-base percentage this year. He has six stolen bases on the year.
Mansfield hosts Shepard (WV) on Friday for a league doubleheader and then hit the road for a doubleheader at Shepard the next day.
