HORSEHEADS — It’s back to work for the Horseheads boys’ lacrosse team as they hit the field this week to begin practices for the new season.
“We are excited,” Horseheads coach Jason Neubauer said. “We have been blessed with the weather. We have been excited to get the kids back out here. We have a mix of experienced, very experienced players. But, also some youth coming up. We are excited to put a new group together. It’s a process every year.”
The weather has been different this week, from 30’s on Monday, to 70’s on Wednesday.
“That’s March, I love it,” Neubauer said. “We are excited. We are looking forward to the season and having another good group.”
And, numbers are strong for Horseheads as they begin the year.
“We are at 28 guys right now, JV’s are around 25 so we are looking really strong in the program,” Neubauer said. “So, we are excited to keep building the program.”
