Southern Tier Sports ReportHorseheads graduate Sophia Bonnell had a strong first season for SUNY New Paltz this year, averaging 8.4 points a game this year.
Bonnell had a career-high 24 points against Oswego in January and had 21 points against Buffalo State in December.
Bonnell had 11 double-digit scoring games this year, including a streak of four straight at one point in the season.
Bonnell was fourth on the team in scoring this year and she was tied for second in assists. Bonnell was fifth in steals on the season.
The Horseheads graduate led the team with 58 three-pointers made.
