COLLEGE SOFTBALL: CORNING GRAD RIJO BLASTS GRAND SLAM AS ARKANSAS MOVES TO 19-1 ON SEASON (2025-03-02)

Corning graduate Atalyia Rijo hit a grand-slam that brought on the run-rule as the No. 11/12 Arkansas softball team won their fifth straight run-rule victory 13-2 over Missouri State to move to 19-1 on the season.

Rijo’s four RBI on the grand slam led the team in RBI for the day.

Rijo is hitting .357 with a .481 on-base percentage this year. She has three home runs, 19 RBI and five doubles, with a triple.

Rijo is seventh on the team in batting average, and fourth on the team in on-base percentage. She has a perfect fielding percentage this year defensively. She’s started 18 of the 19 games she’s played in and is tied for fourth on the team in home runs and tied for second in doubles.
