ENDWELL — The Elmira boys’ basketball team went on the road and beat Maine-Endwell 70-60 on Saturday afternoon.
Both teams scored exactly the same points in each of the first two quarters with 17 in the first and 13 in the second as the game was tied at 30 at the half.
In the third quarter Elmira scored 24 points to take an eight-point lead into the fourth on their way to the win.
Daeshaun Harris had 22 for Elmira, with 10 in the third, including two threes. He hit 6-of-8 free throws in the fourth to help seal the win. Harris also had six rebounds and six assists, with two steals.
Nyheim Brown had 20 points, with six threes. He hit two threes in each of the first three quarters.
James Harris had 13 points, with two rebounds, three steals and an assist. He had three threes in the game.
Malaki Banks had nine points, with three rebounds and Anthony Kitching had six points and 11 rebounds.
Zyquise Matias had three rebounds in the game.
All of Maine-Endwell’s points came from three players. Preston Ocker had 24 points, Luka Ionnisci had 21 and Marco Konrad finished with 15 points.
