JOHNSON CITY — The Corning girls finished fifth at the STAC girls’ wrestling championships on Friday night.
Corning had a team score of 113, with Horseheads winning at 144.
Devin Price was the champion at 132. She had a pin in 4:16 over Emily Phelps in the title match.
Lauren Mahon was runner-up at 114. She was edged by Kendra Williams of Chenango Forks in the final.
At 120 Kaegan Rhodes finished third. She won by fall in 38 seconds over Ithaca’s Rayna Coller in the third-place match.
Kendra Close was runner-up at 145. She fell by technical fall 10-0 to Jansen Derzanovich of Chenango Forks.
Ava Northrup finished sixth at 185. She fell by fall in 2:37 to Kirsten Davis of Horseheads in the fifth-place match.
Coraline VanSkiver of Corning was runner-up at 235. She fell by technical fall 14-2 to Cadence Trinidad in the title match.
Rhyss Padgett was fifth at 132. She won the fifth-place match 10-0 over Jenna Hayes of Horseheads.
