NEWARK VALLEY — The Edison boys’ basketball team went on the road and fell at Newark Valley 66-45 on Friday night.
It was a 26-21 game at the half, but Newark Valley outscored the Spartans 40-24 in the second half to get the win.
Jadne Bennett had 12 points for the Spartans, eight in the second quarter. Drew Slaven had 10 points, six in the opening quarter on two threes. Bennett hit three threes in the game.
Mark Cornacchio had eight points, with two threes, and Brenden Smith had six points, while Talon LaPlante had four points.
Brandyn Gulich had three points and Mason Mawhir finished with two points in the game.
