Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA HEIGHTS — A big-second half allowed Newark Valley to pull away for a 55-22 win over Edison on Friday night.
Edison trailed 10-3 after one quarter, but fought back and were within three in the second quarter, before the Cardinals took a 25-16 lead at the break.
Newark Valley outscored the Spartans 30-6 in the second half to get the win.
Mali Huffner had eight points and Charlee Stroman finished with five in the game.
Makayla Graham, Maycie Bennett, Brush and Addison Vendzules had two points each, while Kailey Ripley had one points.
