PAINTED POST — The Corning gold and black basketball teams picked up wins over Horseheads on Tuesday night in modified girls’ basketball action.
The Gold team won on a game-winner by Sorcha Fuller in the final seconds, 24-22 over Horseheads White, while the black team won 46-11 over Horseheads Blue
Lucia Ferratella had 26 points for Corning Black and Kate Grover had eight points.
Breylynne Campbell had six points, Leah Kauffman had four and Taylar Dart had two points.
Horseheads Blue got four points from Adrianna Arnold, three from Ela Chalk and two each from Kennedy Harer and Emily Buono.
For the gold team Fuller had nine points and Juliet Pruyne had eight points, while Alexa Bly had four points, Finley Boor had two and Carys Dillon had a point.
Willow Barr had nine for Horseheads White, Hannah Beck had six, Chalk and Cari Joe Bubacz had two each and Claire Jones had a point.
