Southern Tier Sports ReportPostseason wrestling gets started this week with the Section IV Duals, and the STAC and IAC Championships.
With Regents week it’s a little lighter week with 18 events on the schedule, 15 during the final two days of the week.
Here’s a day-by-day look at this week’s schedule, including how many events each day.
MONDAY (1)
* The Elmira and Corning girls’ wrestling teams are at Windsor.
TUESDAY (1)
* The Corning boys’ swimming and diving team is at Maine-Endwell.
WEDNESDAY (1)
* The Horseheads and Elmira wrestling teams are joined by U-E and Chenango Forks in the Division I Section IV Duals at Horseheads.
THURSDAY (0)
FRIDAY (9)
* The Edison bowling team is at Watkins Glen.
* The Horseheads, Elmira and Corning wrestling teams are at Johnson City for the STAC Championships.
* The Corning track and field team is at Ocean Breeze.
* The Notre Dame girls’ basketball team hosts Trumansburg, Edison hosts Newark Valley and Corning hosts Ithaca.
* The Notre Dame boys’ basketball team is at Trumansburg, Corning is at Ithaca and Edison is at Newark Valley.
SATURDAY (6)
* Horseheads, Elmira and Corning wrestling wrap up action at the STAC Championships. Edison heads to Watkins Glen for the IAC Wrestling Championships.
* The Horseheads girls’ basketball team is at Elmira.
* The Elmira boys’ basketball team is at Maine-Endwell and Horseheads hosts Dryden.
* The Corning track and field team is at Ocean Breeze.
