Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA — The Elmira girls’ bowling team swept Corning on Wednesday at Dixie Lanes, while the boys picked up a 4-1 win over the Hawks on senior day for the Express.
Seniors Bella Wood, Skylar Shadduck and Trent Belloma were recognized for the Express on Wednesday.
The Elmira girls shot 832, 947 and 882 for a 2,661, while Corning shot 814, 811 and 801 for a 2,426.
Madison Smith led Elmira with a 222-190-190-602, while Bella Wood shot 142-199-212-553.
Abbi Hink shot 193-193-154-540 and Madyson Wasicki shot 135-187-196-518, while Evaya Gardner had a 140-178-130-448.
Zoe Harmer led Corning with a 163-181-180-524 and Kylie Downing had a 204-160-158-522, while Jadyn O’Dell had a 188-172-158-518.
Nevaeh Pratt had a 173-152-325, while Ayden Hartford shot 124-153-277 and Chelsea Wood had a 135-125-260.
For the boys Elmira shot 1,107, 1,035 and 1,021 for a 3,163, while Corning shot 1,072, 1,075 and 986 for a 3,133.
Frankie D’Angelo led Elmira with a 243-198-233-674 and Trent Belloma shot 210-203-247-660.
Alex Gublo shot 235-228-180-643 and Skylar Shadduck had a 216-205-197-618, while Logan Card shot 203-201-164-568.
Zach Sturdevant of Corning shot 233-236-236-705 for the top overall series on the day, while Peyton Nelson shot 216-235-191-642.

Corning won the JV match shooting 826, 837 and 882 for a 2,547, while Elmira shot 774, 903 and 850 for a 2,527.
