Southern Tier Sports ReportGROTON — The Horseheads girls’ wrestling team split a pair of matches during a tri-meet at Groton on Wednesday night.
The Blue Raiders beat Groton 29-20 and fell to Homer 39-19.
In the match against Groton Lily Gullo (107), Jenna Hayes (132), Lily Vesek (138), Narayani Wiehe (165) and Kirsten Davis (185) all had forfeit wins on the day.
Alexis Miles had a 7-4 win over Brooke Sovocool at 120 pounds.
In the match agains Homer Gullo pinned Brookelyn Henry in 1:20 at 107 and Chloe Owen had a 10-0 technical fall win over Anna Aldrich in 1:53 at 126.
Davis (185) and Ellisa Bly (235) each had forfeit wins on the day.
Alexis Miles won a 5-1 match over Olivia Doshna at 120 in an extra match.
