
Elmira graduate Tyler Moffe is making the most of his last year in college basketball, and today he gets a chance to take on one of the biggest names in the sport.
Moffe, a starter for The Citadel, will get a chance to play at Duke today as The Citadel travels to Cameron Indoor for a 9 p.m. matchup.
The Citadel is 3-1 to start the year and the Elmira graduate is a big part of the reason.
Moffe had 12 points and six assists in 22 minutes in a 102-49 win over Carver. He added three rebounds and shot 5-for-8 from the field and 2-for-5 from three point land.
In the previous game, a loss to Presbyterian, Moffe played a season high 43 minutes and had 14 points and four assists with five rebounds.
The Elmira graduate had 10 points and three assists, with four boards in a win over Morris and he started the year with 12 points and five assists, with four rebounds as The Citadel stunned Pitt.
For the year Moffe is averaging 12 points a game, shooting 53% from the floor and hitting give three pointers. He hasn’t missed a free throw this year and he averages four rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest.
