
QUEENSBURY — The Corning boys finished fourth at the Queensbury Adirondack Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
The Hawks had a team score of 299. Ward Melville won at 238. There were 117 total teams in the race. The race is the pre-states meet. The girls finished 19th overall at 722. Bethlehem Central won at 45 points.
In the overall results Jaxyn Mahoney was 35th out of 950 runners in16:26.9 and teammate Sebastian Boutwell was 37th in 16:27.9.
Bryce Hammond was 68th overall in 16:45.6 and Gregory Homa was 77th in 16:49.1. Nicholas Ferratella was 102nd in 17:01.
Corning’s Christopher Lawson was 139th in 17:26.6 and Samuel Kirk was 209th in 17:57.8.
On the girls side Olivia Martinec was 46th in 19:40.9 and Lauren Roche was 106th in 20:48. Elianna Schneider was 201st and Leila Ianovici was 204th in 22:00.1 and Kyra Gross was 222nd in 22:10.
Kendall Curreri was 295th in 23:04 and Madeline Kirk was 301st in 23:10.4.
In just Division 1 Mahoney was 12th and Boutwell 13th as the Hawks had two top 20 runners. Hammond was 26th and Homa 29th for four top 30 runners for the Hawks.
