NOTRE DAME HOLDS SIGNING DAY FOR FOUR ATHLETES (13 PHOTOS) (2024-06-04)

SOUTHPORT — Four Notre Dame athletes were celebrated on Tuesday as they took part in an athletic signing ceremony at the school.

Isabella Busch will play Division III tennis for Grove City College where she plans to study psychology on a pre-law track.

Busch has played tennis for the past eight years and has been on the Notre Dame varsity tennis team for the past two years.

During her time on the Notre Dame tennis team Busch earned the most improved player team award and was also recognized as an athlete of the month.

Notre Dame’s Garrin Dougherty will play college lacrosse at the DIII level for Saint John Fisher University.

Dougherty has been playing competitive lacrosse for the past seven years. In 2023 he was named to the Section IV division 4 first-team defense. In 2024 he made both the first team all-section and first-team all division.

Dougherty has been recognized as one of Notre Dame’s Athletes of the Month in March. He is also a NYS Scholar Athlete and a member of the Lourdes Chapter of the National Honor Society. Dougherty plans to major in biology with a pre-med track at Saint John Fisher.

Caroline Horton will also be at St. John Fisher as she will run track and field at the school.

Horton has run for the Notre Dame varsity track and field squad for the past four years and recently competed at the NYS State Qualifiers in the 800 meters. She was recognized as one of Notre Dame’s May Athletes of the Month.

Horton plans to major in English at St. John Fisher.

Logan Meisner will continue his baseball career at the next level as he’ll play at Keuka.

Meisner played baseball for the past 14 years and has been on the varsity baseball team at Notre Dame for the past four years. He has been a NYS Scholar Athlete for all four years, was named to the IAC all-star first-team in 2022 and 2023 and was selected for the All-Region second team in 2023. He received the IAC Character Counts Award in 2023.

Meisner earned first-team IAC Class C honors in 2023 and was named to the Southern Tier Sports Report all-star first team in 2023. He is a member of the Lourdes Chapter of the National Honor Society and a recipient of the Diocese of Rochester Hands of Christ Award. He will be attending Keuka College on an academic scholarship and plans to study criminology and criminal justice.
