Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA — Elmira fell behind early and wasn’t able to recover in a 6-1 loss to Maine-Endwell on Monday.
Maine-Endwell scored two in the first and added runs in the second and third and two more in the sixth.
Lily Cornacchio had two hits, with a double, and an RBI for Elmira and Madison Smith had a double and scored the Express run.
Ava Sherman, Ryleigh Ogden and Ava Cornacchio had hits for Elmira.
Ava Cornacchio struck out four on the mound.
