SOUTHPORT — Two pitchers combined on a one-hitter as the Edison softball team beat Notre Dame 12-0 on Friday.
Kailey Ripley worked three innings, striking out four and allowing one hit and one walk. Mariana Jones-Frosolone worked two perfect innings, striking ut one.
Aurora Parlo and Kailey Ripley each had two hits for the Spartans. Parlo scored three runs in the game.
Rosie Wheeler had a double, three RBI and a run scored.
Brianna Korsky, Maddison Pack, Maycie Bennett, Emma Maggs, Jones-Frosolone, Carissa Cowan and Charlee Stroman had hits for Edison in the game.
Korsky had two RBI and scored a run and Pack had two RBI.
Bennett, Stroman and Jones-Frosolone each had an RBI and a run scored and Cowan scored two runs, while Maggs scored a run.
Sadie Potter had a hit for Notre Dame and Kayleigh Ayres pitched.
It was senior night for Notre Dame as they recognized senior Madison Fargo.
