HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: EDISON USES 10-RUN INNING IN WIN OVER ND (24 PHOTOS) (2024-05-01)

ELMIRA HEIGHTS — The Edison softball team scored 10 runs in the fourth inning on their way to a 20-1 win over Notre Dame on Wednesday afternoon.

Edison led 4-1 after two innings, but had six in the third and 10 in the fourth in the five-inning win.

Gabby Milazzo pitched four innings, striking out six and allowing an unearned run on two hits. Kailey Ripley threw a perfect inning with a strikeout.

Maddison Pack had three hits, with a home run, a triple and a double, three RBI and three runs scored.

Brianna Korsky had three hits, going 3-for-3, with two RBI and two runs scored.

Milazzo, Emma Maggs, Maycie Bennett and Mariana Jones-Frosolone had two hits each for Edison.

Jones-Frosolone had a double, with three RBI and a run scored and Bennett had three RBI and two runs scored. Maggs had an RBI and two runs scored and Milazzo had an RBI.

Carissa Cowan had a triple and scored two runs and Emily Aiello and Aurora Parlo each had doubles in the game. Aiello scored two runs and Parlo drove in two runs.

Charlee Stroman had a ht, an RBI and a run scored and Ripley scored two runs.

Layla Sullivan had a double for Notre Dame and Denasia Darrow had a hit and an RBI. Lylie Colunio scored the Crusaders run.

Sullivan pitched for the Crusaders.
