Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA HEIGHTS — Edison used a seven-run fifth inning to break open the game and top SVEC 14-2 on Tuesday afternoon.
SVEC led 2-1 after one inning, before the Spartans scored three in the second, three in the fourth and seven in the fifth.
Carissa Cowan hit a three-run home run and had two hits, six RBI and three runs scored.
Aurora Parlo had two hits, with a double, and two runs scored and Emily Aiello had two hits, with an RBI and two runs scored.
Emma Maggs had two hits, with a double, and three RBI and Gabby Milazzo had a double and an RBI.
Kailey Ripley, Maddison Pack, Charlee Stroman and Maycie Bennett all had hits in the game.
Ripley had an RBI, Pack had an RBI and a run scored, Bennett scored two runs and Stroman scored three runs.
Milazzo threw a three-hitter over the complete game five innings, with 10 strikeouts.
