Southern Tier Sports ReportDEPOSIT — The Elmira softball team led 2-1 in the sixth, when Deposit-Hancock got two runs to pick up a 3-2 win on Saturday morning.
Elmira scored in the fourth inning when Addisyn Chorney singled home Addison Taft.
Elmira went up 2-0 an inning later as Ava Cornacchio scored on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Ryleigh Ogden.
Despoit-Hancock then got within a run in the bottom of the fifth and won it with two in the sixth.
Taft was 3-for-4 for Elmira with a run scored and Ogden, Chorney and Lily Cornacchio had hits.
Ava Cornaccho struck out three in the complete game effort on the mound, allowing six hits.
