The Notre Dame softball team opened the season with a 12-4 win over Whitney Point on Monday afternoon.

Layla Sullivan threw a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts in the game.

Denasia Darrow had two hits, with a home run and four RBI and Emily Coseo had two hits and three RBI.

Kayleigh Ayres had two hits and Lylie Colunio had a hit and scored two runs.

Madison Fargo had two RBI and scored two runs and Belle Stevens had a hit.
