BALDWINSVILLE — The Elmira Express went on the road and came away with a hard-fought 32-29 win at Baldwinsville.
Baldwinsville led 7-6 after one quarter, before Baldwinsville went up 21-18 at the half. Elmira took the lead on their way to the win in the second half.
Evan Garvin ran for two scores and threw a touchdown in the game.
Johnnie Garcia caught the Elmira touchdown and also intercepted a pass.
Dash Harris ran for a score for the Express.
“It was a battle,” Elmira coach Jimmy McCauley said. “I’m proud of our kids. We were not perfect. But, I thought our effort was there. Baldwinsville is a good team. Much respect to those guys.”
