Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Corning tennis team picked up a 7-0 victory over Elmira at home on Wednesday night.
In first singles Emma Frost won 6-0, 6-0 over Kylie Besecker and Cora McNeill won 6-0, 6-0 over Millie Kierst at second singles, while Sophia Myers won 6-0, 6-0 over Kiersity Cuesta at third singles. There was a forfeit win for Corning at fourth singles.
In first doubles Makenna Morse and Sarah Lungeram won 6-3, 6-0 over Mackenzi Lowman and Amelia Allen.
Karen Bakhtiari and Michelle Cummings won 6-0, 7-6 over Rylee Johnson and Olly Cady at second doubles and at third doubles Jana Zakharian and Ashley Haines won 6-1, 6-1 over Olivia Andrews and Hannah Reynolds.
