HORSEHEADS — It was a showdown to help determine which team earned a spot in the sectional playoffs.

As she’s done all year, Ashley Friend had a strong night in goal, but in the end Horseheads came up just short against Ithaca, 1-0.

The game was the final game of the season for the Blue Raiders.
