
ELMIRA — There were some strong performances by locals at the Waite-Molnar Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
In the boys’ 100 final Nasir Bradford of Elmira won in 11.57 and Chase Luangsuwan of Horseheads was fourth in 11.81. Corning’s John Tolly was ninth in 12.57.
Ta’hjay Molina-Bacome of Elmira was second in the 200 in 24.20 and Ethan Ferrie of Corning was fourth in 24.39.
Samir Gulati of Horseheads won the 400 in 54.56 with Elmira’s Don Bollinger sixth in 56.61 and Chase Smith of Elmira eighth in 58.76.
Ashton Bange of Corning was third in the 800 in 2:04.73 followed by Elmira’s Caleb Belanger (2:11.94) and Bradock Salisbury of Horseheads (2:12.80), Anthony Mendoza of Elmira (2:3.18) and Elmira’s Jha’Micque Bell (2:18.04). Hunter Lewis of Horseheads was 10th in 2:24.10.
Corning’s Joseph Caruso was second in the 1600 in 4:39.22 followed by teammates Charles Warner (4:49.77) and Sebastian Boutwell (4:50.34). Horseheads’ Cael Owen was seventh in 5:02.94 followed by teammates Nicholas Kowal (5:08.47) and Ma Williams (5:14.33) and Notre Dame’s Gavin Meier (5:23.57).
In the 3200 Samuel Segal won for Corning in 10:54.47 followed by teammates Rohan Amin (11:12.38) and Ryan Calkins (11:34.86) and Horseheads’ Kowal (11:40.94), Diego Savash (12:46.42) and Finn Ban Buskirk (13:35).
Noah Ruffer of Horseheads won the 110 hurdles in 16.26 with teammate Nolan Crusie fourth in 17.67. Jacob Hufnagel of Corning was sixth in 19.53 followed by Santiago Moreira of Horseheads (20.17).
Cruise was second in the 400 hurdles in 1:04.95 followed by teammate Calvin Cradle (1:071.9), Corning’s Sean Freeland (1:07.47) and Cooper Bange (1:09.9), Horseheads’ Cameron Benedict (1:11.20) and Elmira’s Dylan Niemes (1:13.63).
Aidan Kahabka of Corning won the 3000 steeplechase in 10:47.37 followed by Horseheads’ Gulati (10:48.56). Horseheads’ Joseph Juan was fifth in 13:50.90 followed by Drake Ernst (14:14.09).
Horseheads won the boys’ 3200 relay in 8:55.52.
Bradford won the high jump at 6-feet followed by Ruffer at the same height in second place. Marshall Allen was fourth at 5-feet, 2-inches.
Brady Hughes of Corning won the long jump at 21-feet, 1 1/2-inches followed by Ruffer at 21-feet, 1/2-inch. Smith was fourth at 18-feet, 1/4-inches. Bollinger was sixth at 17-feet, 2 1/4-inches followed by Connor Trimber of Horseheads at 17-feet, 1/2-inches followed by Tolly at 16-feet, 9-inches.
Trimber was third in the triple jump at 34-feet, 7 1/4-inches with Hufnagel fifth at 33-feet, 11 1/2-inches. Freeland was seventh at 31-feet, 3-inches and Juan was eighth at 28-feet, 8 1/2-inches.
Hughes won the pole vault at 11-feet followed by Elmira’s Maciej Ziembecki (10-feet, 9-inches) and Andrew Degnan Jr. (10-feet), Ruffer (9-feet) and Alex Kolpien of Corning (8-feet, 6-inches).
Alex McKerrow of Elmira won the discus at 124-feet, 11-inches and Hughes was second at 116-feet, 6-inches. Logan Mullaney of Corning was fifth at 91-feet, 11-inches followed by Horseheads’ Lucas Allington (89-feet, 10-inches) and Noah Rangstorm (86-feet, 5-inches) and Ezra Despain of Corning was eighth at 85-feet, 8-inches. Logan Goodwin was 10th at 79-feet, 4-inches.
McKerrow won the shot put at 42-feet, 4 3/4-inches with Corning’s Mullaney was third at 33-feet, 7 1/2-inches followed by teammates William Stetter (33-feet, 5-inches) and Despain (32-feet, 9 1/2-inches). Allington was sixth at 31-feet, 7-inches followed by Dominic Cardinale of Horseheads at 30-feet, 9 3/4-inches. Goodwin was ninth at 29-feet, 5-inches followed by Jace-Thomas Barr of Elmira at 26-feet, 4 1/2-inches.
Tess Eisner of Horseheads was second in the 100 final in 13.10 with Eleanor Green of Notre Dame fourth at 13.39. Alexus Borek of Horseheads was sixth at 13.74.
Osa Uyinmwen of Corning was second at 28.17 with Claire Devlin of Notre Dame fourth at 28.65 followed by Horseheads’ Elly Bachert (29.03) and Krislynn Dubuque (29.38).
Aurora Jeliff of Corning was second in the 400 in 1:05 with Jennifer Kruckow fourth at 1:06.01 followed by Piper Young of Notre Dame (1:06.37), Elmira’s Caitlyn Wagner (1:08.84) and Corning’s Laiana Gradner (1:10.30) and Jenna Rosenkrans (1:10.66).
Vicky Mordvinova of Elmira won the 800 in 2:22.93 followed by Corning’s Ella Grinnell (2:28.53) and CeCe Cowen of Horseheads (2:33.76). Milo Grow of Horseheads was sixth at 2:39.63 followed by Corning’s Sofia Scouten (2:46.09) and Maddie Sweet (2:53.39). Taylor Degnan of Elmira was 10th at 2:55.74.
Mordvinova won the 1500 in 4:41.33 followed by teammate Ella Devlin (5:05.72). Elianna Schneider of Corning was fifth at 5:24.89 followed by teammates Cassandra Collins (5:25.80) and Taylor Farrell (5:27.47) and Horseheads’ Samantha Oakes (5:50.20).
Ella Devlin won the 3000 in 11:21.88 followed by Horseheads’ Taylor Tremba (12:23.70) and Ayla Kerwan (12:28.92) and Corning’s Joy Morey (13:06.36), Megan Gensel (13:10.94) and Anna Patton (13:12.17).
Notre Dame’s Makenna Keough won the 100 hurdles in 16.63 followed by Elmira’s Zalayna Brown (17.33), Horseheads’ Erica Bancroft (17.97) and Sophia Cipolla (18.02), Notre Dame’s Isabella Mashewske (18.65), Horseheads’ MayAnna Sindlinger (18.88), Teagan Walsh of Corning (19.18) and Zoey McClelland of Notre Dame (19.64).
Borek won the 400 hurdles in 1:12.07 followed by Corning’s Walsh (1:22.08) and Amanda McEwen of Corning (1:25.35) and Sindlinger (1:42.61).
Young won the steeplechase in 8:05.03 followed by Corning’s Meghan McLaughlin (8:09.09).
Horseheads won the girls’ 400 meter throwers relay in 58.38 and they won the girls’ 1600 relay in 4:34.58.
The Blue Raiders own the girls’ 3200 relay in 10:59.42.
Mashewske won the high jump at 4-feet, 6-inches followed by Borek (4-feet, 6-inches), Emma Sutton of Corning (4-feet, 4-inches), Lindsey Wood of Horseheads (4-feet, 4-inches), Sweet (4-feet, 2-inches). Abby Reppert of Corning was seventh at 4-feet, 2-inches followed by Horseheads’ Leila Vargas (4-feet). Ashaya Wallace of Elmira was 10th at 3-feet, 10-inches.
Eisner won the long jump at 16-feet, 10-inches with Keough third at 15-feet, 7 1/4-inches. Claire Devlin was fourth at 15-feet, 7-inches followed by Oakes (15-feet, 2 1/4-inches). Brown was eighth at 14-feet, 8 1/4-inches followed by Kruckow (13-feet, 10 3/4-inches) and Hadley Murray of Corning (13-feet, 6 1/2-inches).
Keough won the triple jump at 34-feet, 1-inch with Green third at 31-feet, 7 3/4-inches. Kruckow was fourth at 30-feet, 11 1/2-inches. McEwen was sixth at 29-feet, 1 3/4-inches followed by Rosenkrans at the same distance.
Morey won the pole vault at 5-feet, 6-inches.
Samantha Harvey of Corning won the discus at 82-feet, 1-inch followed by teammate Medalane Reynolds (78-feet, 11-inches), Horseheads’ Isabella Rivera (76-feet, 9-inches) and Madilyn Jerzak (72-feet, 11-inches) and Corning’s Gianna Benz (71-feet, 5-inches). Notre Dame’s Maggie Moore was seventh at 63-feet, 8-inches followed by Elmira’s Kayda Bronze (62-feet, 5-inches) and Alivia Perez-Fulmer (59-feet, 1-inch) and Horseheads’ Morgan Evans (56-feet, 11-inches).
Rivera was second in the shot put at 29-feet, 7-inches followed by Harvey (26-feet, 1-inch). Lexi Thibault of Corning was fifth at 24-feet, 1-inch followed by Jerzak (23-feet, 11 1/4-inches) and Allison Huff of Corning (23-feet, 10 1/4-inches). Moore was ninth at 22-feet, 7 1/4-inches followed by Bronze at 22-feet, 1 1/4-inches.
