
SOUTHPORT — The Edison tennis team opened the season with a 3-2 win at Notre Dame on Tuesday afternoon.
Notre Dame took the first two singles spots, but Edison won third singles and both of the doubles.
In third singles Imogen Reed of Edison won 7-5, 7-5 over Ella Chicone of Notre Dame.
In first doubles Elijah Reed and Garrett Davis won 6-2, 6-2 over Alex Shultz and Ricardo Reicher and in second doubles Lillian Cowulich and Mackenzie King won 6-0, 6-0 over Archer Cho and Lolly Chicone.
In first singles Gui Toigo of Notre Dame won 6-3, 6-7, 6-2 over Cyris Albertalli and at second singles Divye Agrawal won 2-6, 6-2, 6-0 over Mason Barchet.
