Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Elmira Express opened the day with a 38-33 win over the host Corning Hawks to finish 3-2 at the Greg Partridge Memorial Duals on Saturday, while the Hawks went on to finish 2-3 on the day.
Elmira had the third best record in the field and Corning had the fourth best mark.
Central Valley went 5-0, Canisteo-Greenwood was 4-1, Marathon was 1-4 and Pal-Mac was 0-5.
In the first round along with Elmira’s win over Corning, Canisteo beat Pal-Mac 75-0 and Central Valley beat Marathon 46-25.
In round two Central Valley beat Elmira 54-24, Canisteo beat Corning 60-12 and Marathon beat Pal-Mac 42-22.
In round three Elmira beat Pal-Mac 43-21, Central Valley beat Corning 52-18 and Canisteo beat Marathon 60-12.
Corning beat Marathon 39-24 in round four, while Central Valley beat Pal-Mac 57-15 and Canisteo beat Elmira 54-14.
In the final round Elmira beat Marathon 36-25, Corning beat Pal-Mac 46-18 and Central Valley beat Canisteo 36-34.
Canisteo’s Austin Hall was the Boss Award winner for the lower weights and Central Valley’s Sixx Cook was the Boss Award winner for the higher weights.
