Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Corning Hawks turned in a dominant performance as they hosted their Fast Times Invite on Friday.
In the 200 Zuri Ruffin took third for the boys in 23.75 and in the 400 Gyasi Ruffin won in 51.90 with teammate Lennart Jensen second in 52.47.
Ashton Bange won the 800 in 2:20.67 followed by teammate Tevin McLaren in 2:04.62.
Bange also won the 1600 in 4:22.90 with teammate Matt Gensel third in 4:28.0 followed by McLaren (4:31) and Nathan Webb (4:33.60).
Webb won the 3200 in 10:25.55 with Jaxyn Mahoney third in 10:42.72 followed by teammates Gregory Homa (10:48.62) and Hayden Allington (10:52.87).
Brady Hughes won the 110 hurdles in 17.06 with Gavin Gonzalez third in 18.38.
Hugo Mazzali was second in the 400 hurdles in 1:03.36 followed by Hector Mayolet in 1:04.19.
DJ Cornfield took second in the steeplechase in 10:12.20 with Aidan Kahabka third in 11:38.83.
Corning was third in the 400 relay in 50.29 and in the throwers relay final Corning won in 54.21 while the Hawks won the 1600 relay in 3:31.74 and they were third in the 3200 relay in 9:20.26.
Hughes was third in the high jump at 5-feet, 10-inches with Gonzalez fifth at 5-feet, 6-inches followed by teammate Peter Zimmerman (5-feet, 4-inches).
Zuri Ruffin won the long jump at 19-feet, 6 3/4-inches and Jordan Fajardo was third at 18-feet, 1 1/4-inches.
Mazzali won the triple jump at 40-feet, 8-inches followed by Eddie Jiang (38-feet, 9 3/4-inches) and Fajardo (37-feet, 2 1/4-inches).
Nathaniel Jennings was sixth in the pole vault at 9-feet.
In the discus Jack Hursh won at 143-feet, 4-inches followed by teammate Chris Mechalke (139-feet, 5-inches) and Michael Millow was fifth at 110-feet, 4-inches.
Mechalke won the shot put at 45-feet, 8 1/2-inches with Robert Ohl third at 42-feet, 5 1/2-inches followed by Hursh at 42-feet, 2-inches and Millow was fifth at 42-feet, 1/2-inches.
Cassandra Howard was fourth in the 100 meters in 13.74 and she was fourth in the 200 in 29.09.
Sophia ReSue won the 400 in 1:01.77 and Megan Kirk was third at 1:03.73 with Faith Tubbs fifth at 1:06.10.
Julia Hluck won the 800 in 2:25.08 followed by Cristina Gaskievicz at 2:32.33.
Sarah Lawson was second in the 1500 in 4:45.97 followed by Faithe Ketchum (4:57.21), Gaskievicz (5:01.01) and Hluck (5:03.88).
Lawson won the 3000 in 10:24.99 and Lillian Farrand was sixth in the 100 hurdles in 18.77.
Lauren Gerow won the 400 hurdles in 1:07.69 followed by Leila Ianovici in 1:10.02.
Meghan McLaughlin was second in the 2000 steeplechase in 7:59.20 with Olivia Murch fourth in 8:36.91.
Corning was second in the 400 relay in 55.40 and they won the 1600 relay (4:14.65) and the 3200 relay (10:54.49).
ReSue won the high jump at 5-feet, 3-inches and Abby Reppert was fourth in the long jump at 14-feet, 1 1/4-inches.
Gwen Zimmerman was second in the triple jump at 30-feet, 10 1/2-inches followed by Paige Kesterson (30-feet, 2 1/4-inches), while Jenna Rosenkrans took sixth at 27-feet, 7 1/2-inches.
Reppert was second in the pole vault at 7-feet, 6-inches with Farrand sixth at 6-feet, 6-inches.
Ashley Tubbs was sixth in the discus at 75-feet, 6-inches and Harlee Dessoye took third at 27-feet, 4 1/4-inches.
Taylor Farrell won the 1500 race walk in 7:59.99 and Sofia Scouten was third at 8:37.55 followed by Cassandra Collins in 8:43.44 while Daphne Karacay was sixth at 10:08.67.
