A pair of area teams wrestle at the Windsor Holiday Tournament, while three teams head to an indoor track and field meet at Cortland in the day’s local sports.

After the Palmer Tournament was canceled, the Elmira boys and girls had a doubleheader with teams from the tournament scheduled, however those games were canceled.

A look at today’s events.

WRESTLING
HORSEHEADS, CORNING AT WINDSOR TOURNAMENT, 10 A.M.
The Blue Raiders and Hawks head to Windsor for the annual tournament.

A recent change will mean no fans will be allowed for the tournament, that last two days.

Corning has a second seed in Ethan Hart (160 pounds) and a third seed in Charles Louckes (152).

Horseheads has a second seed in Gannon Johnston (285) and a fourth seed in Ryan Massengale (118).

TRACK AND FIELD
ELMIRA, HORSEHEADS, NOTRE DAME AT CORTLAND
A trio of area teams head to Cortland for the last indoor track and field meet of 2021. McKenna Keough of Notre Dame has been one of the winter’s best athletes this year and the distance runners for both Horseheads and Elmira have been very strong this winter.
