THE SPORTS REPORTS: WELLSBORO'S KOSEK, SVEC'S AMAN NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (2025-10-30)

Wellsboro junior Lauren Kosek won a District 4 cross country title, and SVEC senior Logan Aman continued a torrid season on the gridiron. They are The Sports Reports / Ziff Law Firm Regional "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Oct. 25.

WELLSBORO'S KOSEK NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Kosek followed up winning the NTL title last week by winning the District 4, Class AA cross country title Saturday.

Kosek clocked in with a time of 17:59 — 44 seconds ahead of the runner-up.

Honorable Mentions: Athens' Alissa Vough (cross country), Waverly's Brilynn Belles (volleyball), Owego's Maggie Hamed (volleyball), Notre Dame's MK Young (soccer), Towanda's Izzy Larson (cross country), and Towanda's Karis Flynn (volleyball).

SVEC'S AMAN NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Aman accounted for five TDs and 346 yards in total offense in the Eagles' 41-8 win over Groton.

Aman carried the ball 16 times for 280 yards and four TDs, had one reception for 48 yards and a TD, and completed his only pass for 18 more yards. 

He scored on runs of 93 12, 59, and 67 yards, and caught a 48-yard TD pass.
