IAC CROSS COUNTRY: ND'S MEIER FINISHES 6TH TO LEAD LOCALS AT IAC CHAMPIONSHIPS (24 PHOTOS) (2025-10-29) Southern Tier Sports Report MARATHON — Notre Dame’s Gavin Meier had a sixth-place finish to pace the local runners at the IAC Championships on Wednesday.
Meier was sixth in the boys’ race in 18:05.9. Trent Thibault of Lansing won in 16:20.6.
Edison was eighth in the boys race at 191 points. Notre Dame was 10th at 209. Southern Cayuga won at 49 points.
Edison’s Jameson Duggan was 11th in 19:15.1 and Cameron Kraft of Notre Dame was 35th in 20:31.1. Edison’s Carson Balash was 43rd in 20:48.3. Jeremiah Hubschmitt of Edison was 48th in 21:02.7 and Notre Dame’s Burke Hilgendorft was 55th in 21:52.7 followed by Edison’s Grayson Margeson in 22:03.8. Edison’s Carter Smith was 60th in 22:20.7 and Notre Dae’s Robert Sharp was 67th in 23:05.5. Jaxon Brester of Edison was 72nd in 24:20.2 and Notre Dame’s Trevor Agan was 75th in 24:31.7. Notre Dame’s Johnny Piet was 77th in 24:41.2 and Edison’s Shawn Kelly was 88th in 27:33.1.
In the girls race Edison was eighth at 179 points. O-M won the title at 58 points.
Edison’s Madison Hubschmitt was 11th in 23:18.2 and teammate Emma Duggan was 45th in 26:45.2 followed by teammate Emma Rose Deats in 26:46.1. Lylie Colunio of Notre Dame was 48th in 27:16.6. Edison’s Madison Palmieri was 54th in 28:24.5 and teammate Olivia Welch was 57th in 29:09.4. Edison’s Riley Shilling was 63rd in 32:19.6 followed by teammate Ivy Sager in 34:13.4. Notre Dame’s Lillian Moore was 66th in 36:01.4.
Notre Dame’s Kaylin Moore was third in the modified race in 11:25.1. In the boys’ modified race Notre Dame’s Eli Baxter was 10th in 12:23.2.
