STAC BOYS' SOCCER: CORNING WRAPS UP SEASON WITH WIN AT VESTAL (2025-10-22)

VESTAL — The Corning Hawks boys’ soccer team wrapped up the regular season with a 4-0 win at Vestal on Wednesday night.

Landyn Proudfoot  had two goals and Grayson Timmons and Charlie Warner each finished with goals in the game.

Ross Fucito and James Goodman had assists for Corning in the gae.

Logan Durand had two saves to get the shutout in net.

Vestal’s Colin Penning had eight saves and Evan Bowerman finished with three saves.

Corning had 15 shots and seven corner kicks and Vestal had two shots and no corner kicks.

Corning finishes the regular season 10-4-1 and Vestal is 7-7-1.

“We had a nice scrimmage against Susquehanna Valley last week and played fairly well and then finished off postseason preparation with heading to a road match that is always difficult to win at Vestal.

“The guys did a nice job of playing hard and with purpose. We will take the time the next two days to prepare for Saturday at Ithaca, another very difficult place to play at any time of year.”
