ELMIRA HEIGHTS — The Edison softball team was edged by Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour 6-5 on Friday afternoon.

Edison led 1-0 after one inning, but WG/OM scored three in the second.

Edison got two in the fourth to tie the game and both teams scored two in the fifth. WG/OM scored a run in the seventh to win the game.

Emily Aiello had two doubles in the game and Kailey Ripley had two hits, with a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Bella Muffe had a hit and an RBI and Aurora Parlo had a hit and scored two runs.

Maycie Bennett and Charlee Stroman each had a hit and scored a run.

Rosie Wheeler struck out eight on the mound.
