ELMIRA — The Elmira boys bowling team edged Horseheads 3-2 at Dixie Lanes on Monday, while the girls topped the Blue Raiders 5-0.

For the boys Elmira shot 948, 985, 1,002 for a 2,935 while Horseheads shot 950, 1,038, 881 for a 2,869.

Alex Smith led Elmira with a 665 series (213, 222, 230) and Nick Ravert shot 226-198-177-601. Skylar Shadduck shot 175-176-212-563 and Alex Gublo had two games of 216-214 for a 430 score for Elmira, while Joey Chilson Purvis shot 168-173-341 and Trent Belloma shot 166-169-335.

Andrew Bauman shot 227-268-167-662 to lead Horseheads and Michael Rennells shot 193-182-236-611.

Cooper Fell shot 186-214-163-563 for the Blue Raiders and Ayden Tito shot 165-214-176-555, while Justin Mattoon shot 179-160-139-478.

In JV action Elmira shot 702, 768 and 733 for a 2,303, while Horseheads had a 454, 492 and 475 for 1,921.

Ty Bolt led Elmira with a 573 series and a high game of 203 and Nick Francisco shot 473 with a high of 185, while Nick German shot 468 with a high of 163. Zack Kathan shot 455 with a high of 170 for Horseheads.

Elmira’s girls shot 821, 769 and 907 for a 2,497 while Horseheads shot 746, 753 and 760 for a 2,259.
