SPENCER — The Edison volleyball team won a hard-fought five-set match with Spencer Van-Etten on Wednesday, 25-10, 25-6, 28-30, 19-25, 26-24.

“Spencer was awesome tonight,” Edison coach Paul Richmond said. “I was proud of the girls for settling in for the fight and surviving. That’s sports. No guarantees.”

Maren Lutz had six points, two aces, seven kills, 15 assists and three blocks and Ashlyn Maggs had four points, two aces and 11 kills.

Hayleigh Vanderhoff had five kills and 12 assists and Jadyn Wood had eight points, eight kills and an ace, with a dig.

Autumn Viale had a dig, Gianna McGee had four digs and Gabby Milazzo had five points and three aces, with two digs.

Amelia Fucito had two points and two aces, Harper Hoffman had five kills, an assist and three blocks and Emma Maggs had 10 points, six aces and five kills.

Sarah Cooper had 29 digs, three aces and 13 kills for SVE and Sophia Dutra had three aces, four digs, 12 kills and five blocks.

Lynsey Frye had an ace and 33 digs.

Sydney Myrick had six digs, Lauren Slofkosky had a kill and a dig and Hailey Thigpen had four kills and a block.

Ajsa Zakova had 29 assists, two kills and a block and Alissa knapp had four points, three digs, an assist and a kill, while CC Churey had two points, 16 digs and four kills.

Aryonna Dislorow had a point.

Spencer won the JV match 2-1.
