As we head into the middle of the sports season, it’s another busy week of games with 42 events on the schedule this week, including at least five events each day.

Here’’s a look at what’s on tap each day, including how many events are taking place each day.

MONDAY (5)
* The Horseheads boys’ soccer team hosts Johnson City, while Notre Dame is at SVEC.
* The Edison volleyball team plays host to Newfield.
* The Horseheads girls’ soccer team is at Owego.
* The Horseheads tennis team is at Corning.

TUESDAY (6)
* The Horseheads swimming and diving team is at Elmira, while Notre Dame joins Whitney Point at Dryden.
* The Horseheads golf team is at Binghamton, while Corning is at Union-Endicott.
* The Corning volleyball team is at Elmira.
* The Edison and Elmira cross country teams are at Notre Dame, running at the Murray Athletic Center.

WEDNESDAY (9)
* The Horseheads boys’ soccer team is at Binghamton, Elmira is at Vestal and Notre Dame is at Newark Vally.
* The Corning volleyball team hosts Vestal, while Edison hosts Tioga.
* The Corning swimming & diving team is at Vestal.
* The Notre Dame girls’ tennis team is at Corning.
* The Corning girls’ soccer team is at Bath.
* The Corning boys’ soccer team is at Union-Endicott.

THURSDAY (9)
* The Horseheads golf team is at Corning, while Elmira hosts Ithaca.
* The Corning girls’ soccer team hosts U-E, while Elmira hosts Vestal and Notre Dame hosts Newfield.
* The Elmira swimming and diving team is at Watkins Glen.
* The Corning volleyball team hosts Trumansburg, while Edison is at Candor.
* The Corning tennis team is at Vestal.

FRIDAY (6)
* The Horseheads football team hosts Owego for homecoming, while Corning is at Union-Endicott and Elmira is at Rome Free Academy.
* The Elmira golf team is at Vestal
* The Elmira volleyball team is at Binghamton
* The Elmira boys’ soccer team hosts Ithaca.

SATURDAY (7)
* The Corning girls’ soccer team is at Horseheads, Elmira is at Ithaca and Notre Dame plays hosts to Waverly.
* The Elmira boys’ soccer team is at Notre Dame
* All five area schools (Elmira, Horseheads, Notre Dame, Corning and Edison) are at the McQuaid Invite.
* Corning’s gymnastics team is at Penfield.
* The Edison football team hosts Newfield for homecoming.
