GIRLS' BASKETBALL: HORSEHEADS GIRLS 4-0 TO START WEEKEND IN BATTLE OF NY (2022-08-07)

CLIFTON PARK — The Horseheads girls’ basketball team is now 4-0 on the weekend in the Battle of New York in Clifton Springs (Albany area) at the Impact Center.

On Saturday the team beat Shen Green 42-31 and they beat South Jefferson (Section 3) 31-17.

On Friday night the team beat Hal Hallows East (Long Island) and Amsterdam (Section 2).

Horseheads will play in the semifinal round Sunday as the top seed in the bracket at 11:30 a.m. If they win they are in the title game at noon.

The players on the Horseheads team are Leah Scott (10th grade); Kaylyn Cook (10th grade); Sophia Bonnell (11th grade); Megan Wolf (10th grade); Jordyn Gross (10th grade); Emma Kamas (10th grade); Emelia Clark (9th grade); Jenna Baker (11th grade); Jessica Also (10th grade); Karis Adams (10th grade: Alexis Knox (11th grade); Molly Wolf (12th grade).

This is the third time at the event for the Horseheads girls.
