CORNING — The Corning 11u baseball team scored 20 first-inning runs to capture the District 6 title on Tuesday night with a 29-0 win over Elmira.

Corning had 13 hits in the game with Jonner Peiffer and Briton James getting three hits each. Peiffer had a double, four RBI and four runs scored and James had two RBI and four runs scored.

William Nicholson, Jackson Dunning and Devyn Dart all had two hits for Corning in the game.

Nicholson had two RBI and scored three runs and Dunning had a double, four RBI and four runs scored and Dart had three RBI and three runs scored.

Jake Alwine had a hit, two RBI and three runs scored and Bentley Davidson had a hit, three RBI and three runs scored.

Hunter Akins had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Daniel Bretch had a hit, four RBI and two runs scored in the game.

Jennings scored a run and had an RBI and Close scored a run in the game.

Alwine and Jennings combined to no-hit Elmira, with Alwine striking out one in an inning and Jennings striking out four as he finished the game.
