The sectional baseball and boys’ lacrosse tournaments kick off for some local teams today as that highlights a light day of local sports.

BASEBALL
SECTION 4, CLASS AA
ELMIRA AT CORNING, 5 P.M.
The Hawks and Express play in the semifinals with a chance to advance to next week’s best of three series against Horseheads. Corning won both matchups, but Elmira played them to a tough 2-0 game at Corning earlier this year.

BOYS’ LACROSSE
WINDSOR AT NOTRE DAME, 6 P.M.
The Crusaders kick off the postseason with a home matchup. The winner is at top seed Chenango Forks on Tuesday.

GIRLS GOLF
CORNING AT VESTAL, 3:30 P.M.
The Hawks tune up for next weeks postseason with a matchup at Vestal.
