Southern Tier Sports Report
The diving portion of the Elmira Swimming and Diving Championship takes place, while two boys and two girls basketball games are on the schedule.

The Horseheads wrestling team is in action for the second straight day as they head to Canandaigua for the always tough Bradshaw tournament.

Here’s a look at the day’s events.

DIVING
Corning, Horseheads, Elmira at Elmira Invitational, 5 p.m.
The Hawks, Blue Raiders and Express divers all hit the pool for the diving portion of the Elmira Swimming and Diving Invitational. (Look for full story on the seeds).

BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Maine-Endwell at Elmira, 7:15 p.m.
The Express have dropped two close games recently, with losses to Horseheads and Corning in close games after they had early leads. Now, Elmira returns home for the first time since before Christmas with a STAC matchup.

Lansing at Edison, 7:30 p.m.
The Spartans are coming off their first win of the season, against Odessa-Montour, and they are home for the second time this week.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Norwich at Corning, 7:15 p.m.
The Hawks are coming off a loss to Elmira, their first STAC loss, and they take on an always tough Norwich team.

Edison at Lansing, 7:30 p.m.
The Spartans take to the road looking for their seventh straight victory.

WRESTLING
Horseheads at Bradshaw Tourney
The Blue Raiders hit the road to Canandaigua to compete in the always tough Bradshaw Tournament. Horseheads is coming off Thursday’s win over Elmira.
